I think it was our 3rd wedding anniversary and I had gotten into the habit of writing songs on my lunch break while playing piano. I was new to publishing music and I had done a few small projects. I knew when I composed this song that it was well outside of my range but I forced myself to record it over the course of several weeks until I hit all the notes. I worked on this project exclusively during lunch breaks in secret and after publishing I shared it with my wife for our anniversary as a gift of sorts since the song is for her. My recorded version is still floating around out there, but the only version you can find online now is the SUNO cover versions. One that I re-released for our 9 year anniversary entitled “9 years into forever” and the original cover that was done as a duet.
